Live streaming options and capabilities
Typically, we will have a single technician at an event with one camera mounted on a tripod and a second camera which is portable. The livestream is switchable between cameras. The cameras are supplemented by a good microphone. Both cameras are battery powered, as are our internet routers, and we carry spare batteries for longer events.
We will provide a private URL for the event, to the organizer, prior to it taking place. The event organizer is responsible for sharing the URL with the intended audience.
It is a requirement that the event venue have good cellphone coverage or, in its absence, a high bandwidth internet connection that the livestream can use.
Our normal practice is to use multiple internet connections for stability of transmission, e.g. 2 (or 3) high-speed mobile connections, or a mobile connection and local wifi. We have internet routers that can use MaxSpeed mobile SIM cards so we can be entirely self-sufficient. However, poor cellphone coverage does limit internet bandwidth and may affect livestream quality.
The event will remain accessible for 3 months. This is generally long enough for all interested parties to watch it. Anybody with access to the site may download the video file for later, or repeat, viewing.
We can, for an additional fee, produce an edited version for permanent record, either as a video file or as a DVD.
